LED Indicator load resistors, 6.8 Ohm / 25 Watt
Why are installing load resistors necessary for LED turn signal lights? Resistors for LED indicator, which have a much lower power consumtion compared to standart 21w indicators. If you don't install load resistors (also known as equalizers) with LED turn signal bulbs, you will experience the notorious hyper flash issue. Hyper flash is exactly what it sounds like, where the turn signal light flashes rapidly and is almost headache inducing. Not only is this ugly, but you may also attract the police who think your bulb is burned out.
Just connect the resistors between the indicators and the wiring harness. Delivered as a set for 2 indicators. For the Yamaha XT-660 models as an alternative also an electronic flasher relais can be used.
Resistors avaiable in two load values:
· 27 Ohms / 5 Watt
· 6.8 Ohms / 25 Watt (for bikes with warning flashers like e.g. XT-660, XT-1200Z)
