OHLINS manufactures the 'state of the art' shock for the Yamaha Tenere 700. Our recommendation for all world traveller, rally pilots, Super-Moto and touring drivers.
All rally bikes made by OFF-THE-ROAD are equipped with Öhlins suspension.
All ÖHLINS shocks are custom made for each bike and each driver. The set up for each shock, the damping and rebound as well as the springs are tested on and off-road to get the best results.
They are the results of true tests with your bike and no guesswork! All ÖHLINS shocks work with the "de Carbon" concept. This shock is a high pressure monotube type. The fluid is put under gas pressure and the gas and the fluid are kept
apart by a separating piston. The piston is fitted in an external reservoir. This will give you the advantage of stabil suspension work even in the worst conditions.
Notes for the set-up of the shock (spring rate and damping)
If you like us to double check your order about spring rate choice, please fill out the suspension questionnaire (see documents tab) and email it to us after order.
After receipt of the questionnaire, the shock absorber will be adjusted free of charge exactly to your specified purpose and weight.

The Öhlins cartridge kits have now been made for the Yamaha Tenere 700. Based on the successful Öhlins NIX technology, we are proud to introduce Öhlins cartridge kits for this segment. Big sized adventure bikes used in their right element on true adventures both on and off the road can now enjoy the improved comfort and performance from an Öhlins cartridge kit. Öhlins R&D decided to go for a solution based on the successful Öhlins NIX technology to reach the goal of a cartridge that can deliver both comfort and performance, and go longer than an off-road kit between servicing. The small design of the cartridge kit makes it Easy fit in the upside down OE fork of the Tenere Yamaha 700. The kits are easy to install, just pop out the OEM kits and install the Öhlins cartridge kits instead. Thanks to the FKA 100 kits from Öhlins the bikes now has a fully adjustable front end. Rebound damping is on one leg and compression in the other leg, with adjustable spring preload in both legs. Together with an overall improved damping system, the bike is transformed and can deliver so much more. Different springs are available for riders individual demands as well as an effective hydraulic stop inside the kit to prevent bottoming. After tests we feel confident this cartridge kit improves the Tenere 700 both in terms of comfort and overall performance. Fast gravel roads on a weekend or piloting around small trails to find the perfect stop for the night demands both comfort and performance. With this kit the bike delivers that. Ohlins shock seal head service kit for Ohlins S46 shocks The shock absorber service kit are supplied with an oil seal, dust seal, piston rod bush and most O-Rings needed to service an Öhlins 46/16 shock absorber. All of the service parts are either equal or exceed the quality of the original parts. The service kit is supplied with a new piston rod lock nut for added security when rebuilding the shock absorber.
