TFX has developed a great shock for the Yamaha 660 Tenere. Special made for the needs of world traveller, rally pilots, and trail / touring riders.
Especially with the adjustable high- and low-speed compression this shock will cover all possible on- and off-road use. The TFX shocks are custom-built and are personalized to your needs and expectations. The shocks are suited for street use but also for Rally Raid and traveling. They will give you the comfort, control, safety and durability you need and ask from your shock absorbers. The shocks are engineered and manufactured from the best materials to guarantee you a shock you can rely on for many years and which will full fill your needs on the road or track.
Shocks are the connecting link between the bike and the street with a high influence in riding comfort - so do not make any compromises at this point! The shocks are custom made and personalized to your needs.
Due to the wide adjustment range of the damping and the hydraulic spring preload the set-up of the damper can also easily changed and adjusted by yourself. This shock combines great comfort, perfect damping, robustness and longevity. - so everything a good shock needs.
All TFX shocks are custom-built for each bike and each driver. That means, that you have to wait a little bit, till you get your TFX shock. But not longer than about 6-15 days (depending on seasonal requests)
The set up for each shock, the damping and rebound as well as the springs are tested on and off-road to get the best results. They are the results of true tests with the Tenere under real conditions and no guesswork!
All TFX shocks work with the "de Carbon" concept. This shock is a high pressure monotube type. The fluid is put under gas pressure and the gas and the fluid are kept
apart by a separating piston. The piston is fitted in an external reservoir. This will give you the advantage of stabil suspension work even in the worst conditions.
Also avaiable as a longer version with increased hub and travel or a shorter version to lower the bike up to 35 mm. Please ask.

OFF-THE-ROAD fork valve tuning emulatos for the Yamaha XT-660Z Tenere model range The OFF-THE-ROAD fork valves turn the Yamaha XT660's conventional fork without adjustment into an adjustable fork with adjustable compression. Due to the conversion, the fork responds more sensitively and does not immerse as strongly when braking. This results in a more controlled feeling with improved road contact. CAD developed and made of extremely light 6061 T6 aluminium. Surface anodized. Through a sophisticated system of holes in the valve, the oil flow in the fork is changed so that road contact and feedback is much more direct. The driver gains safety and feeling for the road surface. Applications: On-road, off-road, racing and touring applications. The fork valves emulators are ready adjusted for the Yamaha XT660 forks. A subsequent fine adjustment can be made by the amount of oil or other oil viscosity and directly on the valve. How it works: The OTR fork valve is inserted exactly with an adapter between piston rod and fork spring. Additional oil flow holes must be drilled in the piston rod. You find detailed instructions coming with the kit. Fine tuning of the fork valve is possible with little effort after installation by adjusting oil level, oil vicosity or adjusting the valve itself.
