Pivot Pegz MK4 Yamaha XT-660R/X - Yamaha XT-660Z Tenere

Pivot Pegz have been designed and built to last. They are a designed using high tech 3D computer modelling software and are a precision built product. They are formed by state of the art precision investment casting using high strength aerospace grade stainless steel before being CNC machined and double heat treated. Pivot Pegz are then electro-polished to a high grade finish before finally having the exterior hand polished to a mirror finish which highlights the embossed logo and really makes Pivot Pegz stand out in the crowd.

Internally a high quality German made BUSH is used and ample amounts of a superior quality saltwater proof grease is added to keep everything running smoothly. The unit also has O-ring seals at both ends of the pivot shaft to protect the internals and to keep the good stuff in and the bad stuff out. If and when maintenance is required it is a very easy task due to the simple and proven design. The strength and durability of Pivot Pegz has been proven many times and the product is considered by many as a must have performance part.

PivotPegz are not only a breakthrough for cross- und enduro drivers, who claim insufficient sentitivity on the original footrests. They are also a gain for the ambitious tour driver on all routes. Via a spring joint Pivot Pegz adapt to the movement of the foot back and forth.

Advantages:

Better control: The power of the bike is spread onto the whole foot of the boot consistently via the same spot.

Less exhausting: The permanent hits via the rim of the footrest are better compensated. Tilting of the boot over the rim of the footrest is eliminated.

More pressure: When driving a bend the pressure on the bike is applied across the full width of the footrest and not only via the rim.

Improved sensitivity: Thanks to the PivotPegz the footrest create a true connection between driver and bike. This way the driver is less exhausted and has a better sense for his bike.

The lowering option of Pivot Pegz is available by interchanging the left and right Mount Assemblies. The end result is that you can lower your Pivot Pegz by about 8 mm. It's a simple task that takes around 10 minutes. Lowering requires no modification and can be reverted back to standard, quickly and easily.
