A spoke wrench, called a spoke tensioner or centering wrench, is a tool used to tension or loosen the spoke nipples, special square sleeve nuts, of motorcycle wheels and thus center the wheels by changing the spoke tension. The spoke wrench can be used to adjust the tension of the spokes on the spoke nipples. These are threaded onto the spokes and can be adjusted by turning the spoke wrench. To remove a concentricity error (colloquially also called 'eight'), the straightening of distorted rims as well as re-spoking.
