This steering damper set expresses with it's low weight, the perfect adjustment range (25 clicks) and very good response characteristic. Designed to prevent headshake, arm-pump and wheel deflection caused by rocks, roots, square edges and acceleration bumps. The damper itself is compact, fully adjustable, hydraulic shock absorbing damper that mounts to your steering head area right below your handlebar clamps with cnc machined brackets. By helping to stabilize the front end of your motorcycle, the rear of the motorcycle will track straighter allowing the rest of your suspension to work better. In addition, the Scotts Steering Stabilizer eliminates that sudden “jolt” affect of having the handlebars pulled from your hands after unknowingly hitting something unforeseen like rocks, tree roots or rain ruts. It has also helps to minimize rider fatigue and the dreaded arm-pumping situation that occurs while wrestling the front end of your bike. Once mounted, it dramatically reduces the unwanted phenomenon known as “head-shake” that is commonly found on all off-road production motorcycles. It helps keep your motorcycle going straight in the whoops and smooths out those rough sections by preventing those handlebar wrenching jolts.

Exact this damper is used by a lot of Rally teams all over the world, GYTR Tenere 700, Pol Tarres - and we use this stabilizer in all our Rally and Adventure bikes.

The steering damper kit kit for the Yamaha Tenere 700 includes a high-end Scotts Performance off-road type steering stabilizer, a cnc machined mounting set and new handlebar clamps with 28.6mm clamping diameter for the oem handlebar. The mounting parts are made of cnc machined, high-grade aircraft aluminium (T7075), black anodised. The bolt-on cnc machined frame bracket is made of nickel-plated steel steel.

Due to an additional eccentric design of the handlebar clamps, the handlebars can be mounted in the original position or 10mm forward in the direction of travel. The 10mm offset position of the handlebars is particularly advantageous when riding at a faster pace and brings more pressure to the front wheel.

Especially in off-road use this steering dampfer is a big improvemt. Less arm pump, higher bike stability and wheel deflection is good to have on all Adventure trips.

All parts are fully bolt-on! You do not have to weld on the frame. All needed mounting parts are included.

This kit does not work with big ACERBIS fuel tank. It is possible to use a heat gun on the completely empty tank (NO FUMES EITHER!) to shape it to achieve the require clearance.
