The X-TREME shock is a further improvement for riders who ride on nstreet as well as off-road or compete in rally’s and require best damping and bottoming resistance.
The X-TREME shock has an improved bumpstop, black protector sleeve made from POM instead of rubber, replaced O-ring from bearing seal to greased off-road seal to keep dirt away, a new damping setup, modified High- and Low Speed compression setting, including a revised PDS Shim stack for more bottoming safety, modified the shimstack on the main piston.
The hydraulic preload adjusting allows quick and easy adjusting of the spring preload - very usefull when you ride with various loads.
Tracive Suspension uses the revolutionary PDS(II) system (Position-Dependent-Damping System) for these shocks. This is a hydraulic breakdown protection system. The heart of the system is a second damper piston, which effectively prevents breakthrough at the end of the suspension travel in the event of very strong compression, even with a high payload and/or passenger - the damping always works in relation to the travel. Especially during hard off-road use (jumping), during rallies or on extreme tours with high load, the PDS system is a very good feature to ensure the perfect function of the shock absorber even in critical situations.
It effectivily is a cushion that absorbs the high ingoing energy and prevents a hard bottoming of the shock absorber. This leads to increased comfort and safety. At the same time the bottoming impacts on the motorbike frame are minimised, leading to less bent bolts and damages.
Tractive Suspension utilizes only the best materials, top suppliers and highest available technologies in all of the Suspension Products. All basic components are manufactured from the highest quality aluminum alloys or stainless steel. The piston rods are made from CrMo alloy to achieve the best possible strength and ductility at the lowest possible weight. Springs are wound from the most superior material available on the market featuring lightest weight at longest life. Tractive shocks are based on 4616 system, meaning a piston diameter of 46 mm and a piston rod of 16 mm. Dimensions that guarantee a perfect balance between performance, endurance and adjustability. Low-friction seal with integrated Teflon back-up ring maximizes performance and extends the life of the shock.

Each shock absorber is dyno-tested for accurate performance before despatch at the Tractive Suspension factory.
