This innovative dongle adds Cruise Control functionality and allows for quick control of ABS and Traction Control via the OEM ABS button on the Yamaha Tenere 700 dashboard. It also features memory for ABS and Traction Control settings, ensuring a smooth and efficient riding experience. All functions are seamlessly integrated into the OEM control switches without adding any extra bulk to the handlebars and without cutting any wires. Just clicked-on between three connectors on the bike. Enjoy full control and comfort on every ride!

How does it work

The Dongle exact functionality is still under development and can be changed a bit.

Cruise Control functionality

If you hold the "MODE" button for a while, the actual speed is fixed.

You can increase the speed by using throttle. After releasing the throttle, the bike will slow down to speed previously fixed.

Fixed speed can be increased/decreased by pressing or holding the up/down arrow on the left handlebar controller. During the Cruise Control operation the up/down and MODE keys are reserved to Cruise Control.

The Cruise control is turned off by pressing MODE button again or by the break (front or rear)

All safety critical signals are doubled and checked for consistency for maximum safety - the same way as on bikes where the Cruise Control is factory-installed.

ABS button behavior + ABS and Traction Control memory

This device completely eliminates the time-consuming setting of ABS when driving in off-road.

You can ON/OFF the rear ABS + Traction Control by short click on stock ABS button.

You can ON/OFF whole ABS system + Traction Control by long hold of stock ABS button.

If you click/hold it during riding, the dongle will keep that request and execute it immediately after stopping the bike.

This settings will kept in memory even after switching the ignition off.

Installation

Plug-And-Play connection with no irreversible changes. Just click-on between three connectors on the bike.

Compatibility

Works on latest Tenere 700 2025 models (BAG9 model code) with electronic throttle (ride by wire).

FAQs:

Is the dongle waterproof?

• Yes, it is over-molded by injection molding with TPU plastics. It is not only a plastic box but all inside is tightly filled with plastics. It is protecting it from water and humidity and also strengthens the entire structure against hard impacts and hardest shocks.

Can the Dongle damage anything on the bike in case of failure?

• In case of Dongle failure the bike will enter safe mode but nothing will be damaged. After disconnecting the malfunctioning Dongle everything will return to normal. The eventual error symbol on dashboard will disappear after few short rides.
• Both CAN bus itself and the devices connected to this bus are immune to failures of other connected devices so the Dongle failure will not damage them.
• Power is drawn from the tail light connector or from the diagnostic plug - the Dongle failure only blow the fuse.
• However, this device interferes with other onboard electronic systems even if the ABS is set to ON (disabled state of the Dongle). In case of its failure ABS and some info on the dashboard may be temporarily unavailable. By installing this device, you assume all responsibility for possible damage to health and property caused by the incorrect function of this device and the subsequent malfunction of other electronic systems of the motorcycle. Device is designed for riding in hard Off-Road where the ABS system is unwanted and possibly dangerous.

Can the Dongle affect the warranty of the bike?

• The Dongle communicates trough the CAN bus data connection with the dashboard and ECU and it is designed to automotive standards. The ECU and the Dashboard is unaware of whether the message containing the required settings is transmitted by the Dongle instead of the dashboard or ECU. The messages are identical to those sent by display panel. Therefore, if you disconnect the Dongle prior to making motorcycle warranty claim, there will be no indication that this device was ever connected.
• However, installation of the Dongle is your responsibility. Do not take this as a guide on how to circumvent the motorcycle's warranty conditions. It's just a description of how the Dongle interacts with the bike. It is still a piece of equipment that is not approved by Yamaha as an original accessory and you are responsible for any problems caused by its installation and use.
