HYPERPRO Fork Springs Yamaha Tenere 700 / Rally Edition 2019 - 2024   The coiling for the Tenere 700 is linear-progressive, that means that the progression increases continuously (linearly). Both the range and the extensive test programme using a computer-operated test-bench which simulates the hardest driving situations guarantee that, in combination with the series spring elements, you are driving the optimal solution for your Tenere ! They have been especially developed and tested for the Tenere. The manufacturing process has been made perfect: First-class, high-alloyed chrome-silicon-steel is used exclusivley. It is nearly tolerance freely coiled on computer-operated machines. The manufacturing is carried out according to DIN 2095. At the end, the outside of the springs is polished in order to achieve a minimal friction value. Of course, the forkspring sets are delivered with a ABE Certificate.   The fork springs are delivered with 2 liter fork oil!   Why progressive springs? Using a linear, "normal" standard spring, all turns of the spring get loaded with the same weight at the same time. Imagine a spring with 10 turns at intervals of 1 cm - if you push the spring down 1 cm it shortens 1 cm, thus, the intervals between the single turns shorten to 0.9 cm. Using a two-step spring, half of the coils have a shorter interval. When the spring is compressed, the intervals shorten. At a certain point, the coils of the closer turns contact. The spring "blocs" and stiffens. Now, only the turns with a greater interval keep working. The suspension comfort and the vehicle response drop rapidly. Unfortunately, one needs more than 2 steps for driving because the powers occur progressively. That means, hardly any powers are needed to let the spring deflect. Though, the higher the power which affect the carriage, the more antagonising power of the spring. This fork spring kit is made to lower the front height of the Yamaha Tenere for about 35mm. In combination with fitting lowering bones, the height of the Yamaha Tenere will also be good for smaller riders. Seat height will go down for about 35-40mm, depending on the lowering kit. The included progressive lowering fork springs can be used to lower the frontend of the motorcycle when it is not possible to lower the forks through the yokes (triple clamps). Perfect for smaller riders. Also a security feature if your feeto do not touch the ground perfectly. With these springs you get the bike lowered without having negative effects on the suspension. Hyperpro advises to lower both front and rear of the motorcycle to be assured of the best result. Rear can be lowered by lowering links or a custom made shock. See accessories. Complete set with oil seals and dust caps   These should be replaced at least every 2 years, depending on the riding performance, to ensure a perfect response of the fork. Due to aging or dirt on the fork tubes tubes, fork oil seals can be damaged. The result is a fork oil leakage at the damaged sealing rings. Leaking fork oil is very dangerous and should be avoided in time. Leaking fork oil attacks plastic, metal and painted surfaces, reduces a safe braking process when in contact with brake parts and causes unsafe grip losses on tires. Clean the fork tube with chrome polish before mounting new seals. If the fork tubes is damaged with pitting (uneven surface) replace it. An uneven surface may damage the seals quick.
