Front fork repair and overhaul set for the Kayaba Tenere 700 front forks
While repairing or maintenance a front fork you should not only change the oil, seals and dust caps, you also have to replace the bushings. Only this will give your fork the smooth travel you want. Worn bushings can cause a damage on the chrome surface on the fork tubes! Only new, true to size bushings will give youf fork the best response behaviour and the best guidance for the fork tubes. Fork oil seals and dust caps not included. See accessories.
Tip: Order fork oil at the same time - see accessories
Motul fork oil is a technosynthese fork oil for on- and off-road use. The technosynthese fork oil of Motul represent a high standard in the fork oil technology. The products are designed for use in all chassis components and provide good performance characteristics. To obtain the optimum viscosity for vehicle and operating conditions this fork oils are mixable.
Specific Technosynthese® formulation that contains an anti-friction additive specially developed by MOTUL to create easier sliding and to avoid drag in the fork.
Stable absorption trough extended range of temperature thanks to the synthetic base stocks. Seals protection: excellent lubricant / elastomer compatibility.
Anti-wear, anti-corrosion, anti-foaming.
RECOMMENDATIONS
MOTUL Fork Oil Expert can be mixed to obtain the required absorption effect. Use the exact quantity recommended by the fork manufacturer.
· Good damping properties at all temperatures
· Good air release
· Wear protection for extended service life of the fork components
· Protection against corrosion of internal components
· Content: 1 liter tin
Ohlins High Performance Fork Oil R&T 01309-01
Öhlins has developed high-quality oils for its shock absorbers, forks, and cartridge kits. They include a range of fork oils which will increase the performance of original telescopic and upside down forks. The different viscosities available make it possible to select the most suitable oil.
What distinguishes Öhlins fork oil from conventional oils is that it reduces friction, stays cleaner, has a long service life, and is highly resistant to foaming (known as cavitation). Together with the front fork springs from Öhlins, a considerable improvement in the responsiveness and performance of an original fork can be achieved.
Viscosity:
R&T - 01309-01: Viscosity of 19.0 centistokes at 40° Celsius

Complete set with oil seals and dust caps
These should be replaced at least every 2 years, depending on the riding performance, to ensure a perfect response of the fork. Due to aging or dirt on the fork tubes tubes, fork oil seals can be damaged. The result is a fork oil leakage at the damaged sealing rings. Leaking fork oil is very dangerous and should be avoided in time. Leaking fork oil attacks plastic, metal and painted surfaces, reduces a safe braking process when in contact with brake parts and causes unsafe grip losses on tires. For quality reasons, we only offer high quality shaft seals and dust caps with 3-fold sealing lip.
better breakaway torque and up to 3x less friction than OE Simmerrings
patented Max-Life manufacture, which increases the life span by 3-4 times
fork seals have 3 sealing lips
dust caps are coated with a special grease to improve the response
Scope of delivery:
2 x Dust Cap
2 x Oil Seal
Our Tip:
Use only for your bike recommended fork oil and mount the seals with a little grease on the sealing lip. Clean the fork tube with chrome polish before mounting new seals. If the fork tubes is damaged with pitting (uneven surface) replace it. An uneven surface may damage the seals quick. Clean fork tubes regularly and grease with Teflon spray.

Fork dust cap/oil seal SKF Yamaha Tenere 700, black
SKF, the leading global supplier of seals for automotive and motorcycle applications, has launched a new series of seals for motorcycle forks. Their extensive experience in the area of shock absorber seals has lead to a new seal that will enhance the enjoyment of your ride. Even though operating pressures and temperatures in motorcycles are moderate when compared to a car or truck, there are some specific factors to be considered. Enduro or Adventure bike forks are the most demanding applications due to a long stroke, high speed and contaminated operating conditions. In addition, there are special dust protection requirements due to the exposed position of the fork and the absence of protective bellows.
In these applications the rider is in direct contact with the front suspension via the handlebars. Therefore, the smoothness of fork movement is vital, as it has a considerable impact on steering behavior.
SKF seal kits for motorcycle forks consist of an oil seal and a wiper seal developed to achieve superior sealing performance without stiction.
As a result of SKF’s extensive experience in the design and material development of seals for suspension systems, SKF has developed a new self-lubricating compound. The design and performance characteristics of the seals made from this compound enable them to keep oil in and contaminants out of the fork, while virtually eliminating stiction and improving performance by reducing friction.
The oil and wiper seals, which are made from a new self-lubricating compound, have been specially designed to provide the following benefits:
black version (technically identical to the green version)
less friction (approx. -20%) compared to conventional sealing rings
use of a self-lubricating material
increase seal life and performance
enhance water and dirt protection capability and withstand UV light
maintain low and constant friction in operation
reduce wear and air suction
Note: Each SKF seal kit includes 1 oil seal + 1 dust seal. To rebuild both forks you need to order 2 seal kits. Black and green seals are technical the same, only the colour is different.
