They include a range of fork oils which will increase the performance of original telescopic and upside down forks. The different viscosities available make it possible to select the most suitable oil.   What distinguishes Öhlins fork oil from conventional oils is that it reduces friction, stays cleaner, has a long service life, and is highly resistant to foaming (known as cavitation). Their extensive experience in the area of shock absorber seals has lead to a new seal that will enhance the enjoyment of your ride. Even though operating pressures and temperatures in motorcycles are moderate when compared to a car or truck, there are some specific factors to be considered. Enduro or Adventure bike forks are the most demanding applications due to a long stroke, high speed and contaminated operating conditions. In addition, there are special dust protection requirements due to the exposed position of the fork and the absence of protective bellows. In these applications the rider is in direct contact with the front suspension via the handlebars. Therefore, the smoothness of fork movement is vital, as it has a considerable impact on steering behavior. SKF seal kits for motorcycle forks consist of an oil seal and a wiper seal developed to achieve superior sealing performance without stiction. As a result of SKF’s extensive experience in the design and material development of seals for suspension systems, SKF has developed a new self-lubricating compound. The design and performance characteristics of the seals made from this compound enable them to keep oil in and contaminants out of the fork, while virtually eliminating stiction and improving performance by reducing friction.   The oil and wiper seals, which are made from a new self-lubricating compound, have been specially designed to provide the following benefits:   black version (technically identical to the green version) less friction (approx. -20%) compared to conventional sealing rings use of a self-lubricating material increase seal life and performance enhance water and dirt protection capability and withstand UV light maintain low and constant friction in operation reduce wear and air suction   Note: Each SKF seal kit includes 1 oil seal + 1 dust seal. To rebuild both forks you need to order 2 seal kits. Clean the fork tube with chrome polish before mounting new seals. If the fork tubes is damaged with pitting (uneven surface) replace it. An uneven surface may damage the seals quick. Clean fork tubes regularly and grease with Teflon spray.

The coiling of this springs for the Tenere 700 is linear, that means that the the spring has the same Nm over the complete travel. So perfect for an adventure bike with long fork travel. Progression of the fork is done by setting the oil level (air chamber) to the needed value by adding or removing oil. The springs are, depending on the spring rate, about 5 - 20% harder than oem Yamaha springs. OEM springs have 5.8 N/mm   Both the range and the extensive test programme using a computer-operated test-bench which simulates the hardest driving situations guarantee that, in combination with the series spring elements, you are driving the optimal solution for your Tenere ! This fork springs are manufactured from the highest grade Chrome Silicone wire, each spring is cold coiled, heat treated, pre set and ground to length before being polished for ultimate performance.
