Mounted on top of the Yamaha Tenere 700 air box the stock airbox snorkel breathes hot air from under the fueltank heated up by the engine. This is not a good solution for power and can also cause a damage of the engine from overheating! This problem can be solved very easy by using this new rubber and metal made airbox inlett. Just replace the stock part with this new inlett. This new Stage 2 Air Box Cover is a CNC machined out of billet black polyamide 6, and designed to work exclusively with the DNA stock replacement, the oem and most aftermarket air filter. Correctly used it will increase the airflow, torque and power of the engine. Installation info are included with this new DNA Stage 2 Air Box Cover and fuel injection recalibration is necessary. High-Flow Foam off-road Filter Yamaha Tenere 700   If you use K&N, DNA and other Cotton-Mesh filters like this in very dust conditions, the filter efficiency will be much lower with a dirty air filter. When very dirty these filter also might  let pass fine dust as well. Also the oem paper filter of the Tenere 700 does not have enough filter efficiency for off-road use, especially in dusty conditions. Due this we have developed an off-road foam air filter kit for the Tenere 700. The foam filter can be cleaned very easily with normal fuel (very easy on a long trip), the filter can be oiled with every foam air filter oil. We recommend TwinAir filter oil. Our foam filter cleans dusty air better and let more clean air pass through. The fine layer of foam works very effective and removes the fine dust particles.   The filter can be used with the standard air intake snorkel or accessory covers.
