We are frequently asked about mounting of LED indicators on the Yamaha Tenere 700.
So we have a small guideline with usefull tipps here. The information about the relays concern all Tenere 700 (except World Raid) until model year 2022. From 2022 (World Raid) and from 2023 for all Tenere, Yamaha no longer installs a separate flasher relay. Here then helps in case of problem with a too high flashing frequency or faulty indicator light only the use of additional resistors.
Load Resistors or a Relay?
If you want to use one pair of LED turn signals - i.e. only at the front
or only at the rear of the bike, one pair of resistors is sufficient.

If you want to install LED turn signals at the front and rear of the
bike, we recommend using the high quality LED indicator relay with a
very low load range (less than 1W). With this relay the indicator light
in the cockpit and the hazard warning lights work without any
problems. No resistors are necessary, so installation is also much
easier and less complicated. When using simple, low-priced relay, there
may be problems with the indicator light in the dash board.

Rubber covers for a clean cover of the rear turn signals are
recommended, especially when going off-road and dirt fly around. Just to
make the installation perfect.

For mounting almost all aftermarket turn signals in the front or rear,
adapter sets are needed, otherwise the turn signals cannot be mounted in
the big oval shaped openings of the fairing or tail. Sometims you do
not need this adapters on the rear, e.g. if you use a tail tidy kit.

Cruise Control & ABS / TCS Dongle for Yamaha Tenere 700 – Seamless Integration with OEM Controls Product Details Device under development. We expect release in the end of October. This innovative dongle adds Cruise Control functionality and allows for quick control of ABS and Traction Control via the OEM ABS button on the Yamaha Tenere 700 dashboard. During the Cruise Control operation the up/down and MODE keys are reserved to Cruise Control. The Cruise control is turned off by pressing MODE button again or by the break (front or rear) All safety critical signals are doubled and checked for consistency for maximum safety - the same way as on bikes where the Cruise Control is factory-installed. ABS button behavior + ABS and Traction Control memory This device completely eliminates the time-consuming setting of ABS when driving in off-road. You can ON/OFF the rear ABS + Traction Control by short click on stock ABS button. You can ON/OFF whole ABS system + Traction Control by long hold of stock ABS button. If you click/hold it during riding, the dongle will keep that request and execute it immediately after stopping the bike. This settings will kept in memory even after switching the ignition off. Water and shock resistant, for use with combination of standart 21w and LED indicators or only with LED indicators. Works also on bikes with hazard indicators! You only need 1 relay for 1 bike - doesn't matter is you have 2 or 4 new indicators. Please note: This relay has a switching capacity of 0,1-100 watts. In newer vehicles, the power consumption of 4 turn signals can be much less than 1 watt. Especially if an LED for the turn signal indicator is used in the dash board as well, the cockpit LED might not "flash". In this case, the LED for the turn signal indicator does not work correctly. Please install a resistor on one of the right or left hand indicators. Also the relay with part number EL-BLR-4P provides a reliable remedy. No additional resistors needed.
