Complete set with oil seals and dust caps   These should be replaced at least every 2 years, depending on the riding performance, to ensure a perfect response of the fork. Due to aging or dirt on the fork tubes tubes, fork oil seals can be damaged. The result is a fork oil leakage at the damaged sealing rings. Leaking fork oil is very dangerous and should be avoided in time. Leaking fork oil attacks plastic, metal and painted surfaces, reduces a safe braking process when in contact with brake parts and causes unsafe grip losses on tires. Tractive Suspension X-TREME PDSII RALLY (225 mm) Long Travel shock Yamaha Tenere 700, black anodised   Tractive Suspension has probably developed ta good shock for sporty use with the Yamaha Tenere 700. The shock absorber is exactly tailored to the needs of extreme long distance travelers trail riders. The shock absorber comes with longer stroke (+25 mm), so that the suspension travel increases from the original 200mm to a remarkable 230mm.   Tracive Suspension uses the revolutionary PDS II Anti Bottoming system (Position-Dependent-Damping System) for these shocks. This is a hydraulic breakdown protection system. The heart of the system is a second damper piston, which effectively prevents breakthrough at the end of the suspension travel in the event of very strong compression, even with a high payload and/or passenger - the damping always works in relation to the travel. Especially during hard off-road use (jumping), during rallies or on extreme tours with high load, the PDS system is a very good feature to ensure the perfect function of the shock absorber even in critical situations. It effectivily is a cushion that absorbs the high ingoing energy and prevents a hard bottoming of the shock absorber. This leads to increased comfort and safety. At the same time the bottoming impacts on the motorbike frame are minimised, leading to less bent bolts and damages.   Tractive Suspension utilizes only the best materials, top suppliers and highest available technologies in all of the Suspension Products. Their extensive experience in the area of shock absorber seals has lead to a new seal that will enhance the enjoyment of your ride. Even though operating pressures and temperatures in motorcycles are moderate when compared to a car or truck, there are some specific factors to be considered. Enduro or Adventure bike forks are the most demanding applications due to a long stroke, high speed and contaminated operating conditions. In addition, there are special dust protection requirements due to the exposed position of the fork and the absence of protective bellows. In these applications the rider is in direct contact with the front suspension via the handlebars. Therefore, the smoothness of fork movement is vital, as it has a considerable impact on steering behavior. SKF seal kits for motorcycle forks consist of an oil seal and a wiper seal developed to achieve superior sealing performance without stiction. As a result of SKF’s extensive experience in the design and material development of seals for suspension systems, SKF has developed a new self-lubricating compound.
