Mounted on top of the air box the stock airbox snorkel breathes hot air from under the fueltank heated up by the engine. This is not a good solution for power and can also cause a damage of the engine from overheating! This problem can be solved very easy by using this new rubber and metal made airbox inlett. Just replace the stock part with this new inlett. You can use this part with the genuine Yamaha or the DNA airfilter.
