In Cooperation with TFX we have developed a great shock for the Yamaha XT-1200Z Tenere. Special made for the needs of world traveller, rally pilots, and trail / touring riders.
The TFX shocks are custom-built and are personalized to your needs and expectations. The shocks are suited for street use but also for Rally Raid and traveling. They will give you the comfort, control, safety and durability you need and ask from your shock absorbers. The shocks are engineered and manufactured from the best materials to guarantee you a shock you can rely on for many years and which will full fill your needs on the road or track.
Shocks are the connecting link between the bike and the street with a high influence in riding comfort - so do not make any compromises at this point! The shocks are custom made and personalized to your needs. Due to the wide adjustment range of the damping and the preload (also hydraulic when ordered) the set-up of the damper can also easily changed and adjusted by yourself. This shock combines great comfort, perfect damping, robustness and longevity. - so everything a good shock needs.
All TFX shocks are custom-built for each bike and each driver. That means, that you have to wait a little bit, till you get YOUR OTR/TFX shock. But not longer than about 7-20 days, depending on season.
The set up for each shock, the damping and rebound as well as the springs are tested on and off-road to get the best results. They are the results of true tests with the Tenere under real conditions and no guesswork! Tested e.g. by J. von Arendt (Traildreamer) in very hard adventure trail and Rally use.
All OTR/TFX shocks work with the "de Carbon" concept. This shock is a high pressure monotube type. The fluid is put under gas pressure and the gas and the fluid are kept apart by a separating piston. The piston is fitted in an external reservoir. This will give you the advantage of stabil suspension work even in the worst conditions.

The suspension struts are custom-made to order after receipt of the order. Please allow for a seasonal delivery time of 6-20 working days.

Yamaha XT-1200Z Super Tenere Ohlins Cartridge Kit FKA - Fork kit Adventure Road & Track Cartridge upgrade for the Dual Sport and Adventure bikes. The Öhlins cartridge kits have now been made for the Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere. Based on the successful Öhlins technology, we are proud to introduce Öhlins cartridge kits for this segment. Big sized adventure bikes used in their right element on true adventures both on and off the road can now enjoy the improved comfort and performance from an Öhlins cartridge kit. Öhlins R&D decided to go for a solution based on the successful Öhlins NIX technology to reach the goal of a cartridge that can deliver both comfort and performance, and go longer than an off-road kit between servicing. The small design of the cartridge kit makes it fit easily in the upside down OE fork of the Super Tenere. The kits are easy to install, just pop out the OE kits and install the Öhlins cartridge kits instead. Thanks to the FKA 106 kit from Öhlins the XT1200Z Super Tenere now has a fully adjustable front end. Rebound damping is on one leg and compression in the other leg, with adjustable spring preload in both legs. Together with an overall improved damping system, the bike is transformed and can deliver so much more. Different springs are available for riders individual demands as well as an effective hydraulic stop inside the kit to prevent bottoming. After tests we feel confident this cartridge kit improves the XT1200Z both in terms of comfort and overall performance. Fast gravel roads on a weekend or piloting around small trails to find the perfect stop for the night demands both comfort and performance. With this kit the bike delivers that. Complete front fork repair and overhaul set for Yamaha XT1200Z and XT1200ZE Super Tenere While repairing or maintenance a front fork you should not only change the oil, seals and dust caps, you also have to replace the bushings. Only this will give your fork the smooth travel you want. Worn bushings can cause a damage on the chrome surface on the fork tubes!
