Cobrra Nemo2 Manuel Chain Lubrication System The biggest drawback of riding a chain-driven motorcycle is chain maintenance. A lot big bikes like Yamaha XT1200 Super Tenere have maintenance free driveshafts. With full disclosure, most of us admit to be terrible at chain maintenance. Most of us don’t clean nor lubricate the chain on our bikes enough. As a result, over the years too many of the chains have seen premature deaths due to our negligence. Not anymore. Thanks to the Nemo 2 automatic chain lubrication system by Cobrra, you can rest easy and truly ride free. With just a simple quarter twist of the dial on my Nemo 2, you send oil directly to the chain when it needs it. You can do this every 200-300km depending on riding conditions. You decide, not an electronic or a "dump" vacuum driven system. Just twist more frequently in dirt or wet weather, and less frequently on well paved roads. Even more, the Nemo 2 is clean and convenient. Unlike most chain oilers that are either gravity or electronically fed, Nemo 2 uses a pressurized system. The twist of the reservoir dial puts pressure in the line which forces the oil to the chain for several minutes. Then it stops. No greasy oily mess and a perfectly happy and lubricated chain. The Nemo 2 is designed by the braniacs (and riders) at Cobrra - a small company dedicated to designing and manufacturing quality products. Anyone who isn’t consistent with their chain lubrication (and that’s most everybody) should get their hands on a Cobrra Nemo 2. Some call it the "best chain oiler avaiable". With the Nemo there’s no requirement to run a vacuum tube from the carb or fuel injectors to the reservoir, and there’s no complicated electrical connections. The Nemo 2 is designed by the braniacs (and riders) at Cobrra in Slovakia-a small company dedicated to designing and manufacturing quality products. Anyone who isn’t consistent with their chain lubrication (and that’s most everybody) should get their hands on a Cobrra Nemo 2. Some call it the "best damn chain oiler". Instead the Nemo works with a simple twist of the upper reservoir - a 1/4 turn delivers a measured amount of lube to the chain for the next 3 minutes. The lube gets deposited in front of the rear sprocket, then it self-distributes onto the rollers, side plates, and sprocket teeth. Your chain and sprockets will last longer when they’re properly lubed. The Nemo is small enough to fit in your hand. Don’t let the size fool you, it’ll keep the chain lubed for a long, long time. Refilling is quick and easy. Nemo holds about 30ml of chain lube which is enough for a weekend ride (or in our case a 5-day ride in the hills). When the reservoir is empty, simply unscrew the cap and fill it up, then tighten the cap and you’re ready to roll (and lube). All components are precision billet aluminum with a black anodized finish. The fit and finish are superb. Mounted on the motorcycle it looks like an OEM part. You can mount the Nemo anywhere on the bike. Nemo literature shows it mounted on the handlebars… But for adventure bikes we liked mounting it down low. In that position we were able to reach down and give the chain a quick lube after we rode thru a creek crossing or mud puddle. Specifications: · Weight: 150 gr (empty) · Dimensions: 5,5cm wide x 5,5cm high (not including bracket) · Mounting bracket: 1,5cm x 2,5cm flat tab with 6mm hole · Oil hose: 4mm OD, approx. 250cm long (enough for a spare) · Oil capacity: 30cc · Oiling sequences before empty: Approx. 15 · Oiling time: Approx. 3 minutes per 1/4 turn of the cap

We only use sprockets and pinions that meet the highest quality standards. The steels used by ESJOT, for example, meet the highest demands and thus satisfy OEM original equipment quality. High tensile strength of the material guarantees a long service life. The special machining process -Diamond-Cut- is an innovative production process with which a significantly higher quality standard is achieved compared to the conventional milled sprocket. Precision tools produce an optimised cutting pattern. At the same time, the chainring is highly strengthened in the tooth flank area. Only the highest quality German steels are used to ensure consistently high quality to industry standards. For sprockets, the materials Qste 420 and Qste 460 as well as c45 steel are always used. Aluminium sprockets are made of the material T7075, known from aircraft technology. Centre holes are machined on CNC machines to an exact fit and fastening holes for screws are countersunk and cleanly deburred. Scottoiler special oil for use in the Scottoiler E, X or V system. Scottoil comes in 3 different versions: Standard Blue, High Temperature Red or All Climate Biodegradable Green What’s the difference? All oils have the same chemical make up although the High Temperature Red is more viscous and therefore slightly thicker, meaning it will flow more slowly in higher temperatures than Standard blue or AllClimate green Scottoil. Other than that, they’re the same and can even be mixed. So if you’re changing over from one oil to the other there’s no need to drain the system and start again, they’ll blend, saving you waste. Scottoil Biodegradable All Climate is the newest chain oil compatible for use with all Scottoiler Chain Oilers. Suitable for all riding temperatures 0-40°C, Scottoil Biodegradable All Climate presents our easiest solution for riding yet, leaving no need to change oils for temperature changes on the road. Blended with a vegetable oil base, Scottoil Biodegradable All Climate is readily biodegradable, making it extremely environmentally friendly with it’s recyclable plastic bottle and twist lock cap. Scottoil Biodegradable All Climate is specially formulated for chain oiler systems to ensure the chain is consistently lubricated while you ride. Friction modifiers maximise efficiency and the unique formula prevents a sticky mess building up on your chain. Which one do you need? Your choice of oils is dependent on the average riding temperatures you usually experience. Between 0-30°C we would recommend Standard Blue Scottoil. For higher average temperatures go for red as it will be a more suitable lubricant on the chain and will also be easy to regulate through the vacuum operated systems. The High Temp Red Oil has an operating range of 20-40°C. The AllClimate green is an easy to use oil for most climat ranges. In some cases we would recommend you use High Temperature Red Scottoil if your reservoir is located near a hot spot on the engine, as this will warm the oil in the reservoir to the operating range more suited to the red oil. 500ml Scottoil lasts for around 25.000 kilometers. One bottle oil is enough to refill the reservoir 10 times or to fill the Magnum tank (optional system) once completely. The smaller bottles (250ml) are optimal for drivers who drive not that much but want to have a backup for longer rides.

As well as this, further flow-rate settings have been introduced primarily at the lower end of the scale to allow for more precision particularly in wavering climates. Furthermore, following popular demand, the eSystem v3.1 now retains all pre-established settings, even when disconnected from the battery! Leaving your bike over winter? Holiday planned? It’s now even quicker to get on the road and not have to worry about adjusting your settings - unless you want to. The eSystem is an electronically pumped motorbike chain oiler requiring only a small power feed from the battery to operate. It can be installed to most bikes in under an hour by connecting the wiring loom supplied to the battery and then simply mounting the system hardware. This plug and play connectivity means the eSystem is the easiest electronic motorcycle chain oiler ever developed. Unlike some other products there is no complicated wiring or tapping into speedometers or switches. When fitted to your bike the eSystems senses vibration and movement using a triple axis accelerometer, using technology derived from MotoGP. The motorcycle chain lubrication system displays this information on the screen along with the flow rate, temperature in Celcius and oil level alongside the accelerometer readout in ‘G’. For some bikes we offer free of charge adapter upgrades to give you the best install solution possible. Check out the install guide for your bike to find out what’s involved and take a look at the quick set up guide to see how easy it is to fit.
