Racing forged piston, lighter than the original Yamaha piston and of much higher quality! Piston milled from the solid block of aluminium with excellent craftmanship. Compared to the original we use a bore up to 5 mm larger, the compression ratio is slightly increased to 11.5:1 (original 10:1). Instead of 659 cc, up to 727 cc are now available for the combustion of the mixture. The result is impressive: the pressure in the lower and middle speed range is noticeably higher, almost up to the nominal speed the single-cylinder is now much more powerful. Depending on the stage of expansion, the increase in power is up to 5 hp. DNA High Flow air filter for all Yamaha XT-660R and XT660X from 2004 onwards. The exchange airfilters simply replace the standard airfilter. The airfilter box doesn't have to be modified. Up to 40% more air flow in comparision to the standard paper filter. The filter only has to be cleaned when it has a 2-3mm thick layer of dirt. Cleaning only each approx. 80.000km. No more filter change - the oil impregnated cotton fabric of the filter ensures a maintenance-free life. The filter merely hast to be cleaned and oiled overy now and then. The DNA Exchange airfilter improves the performance: because of the better air flow the mixture volume is build up and provided more quickly. The engine reacts more spontaneously when accelerating. Avaiable for the Power Commander V is the add-on Auto Tune module which allows for live, closed loop EFI tuning. Based closely on Dynojet's new Wideband Commander 2 it features a OEM quality Bosch Wideband O2 sensor. The Auto tune module allows users set a demanded air/fuel ratio in the Power Commander V software and the Auto tune will make adjustments in real time. When enabled there is an AFR table with the same 250 RPM increment resolution as the fuel table. The Auto tune can be configured for minimum run time before live sample as well as maximum +/- fuel adjustments in relation to the base map. The Auto Tune kit can also use the Dynojet map switch or any open/closed switch which allows the user to switch between live tuning to the parameters set thru the PC V software or the base map in the PC V unit. You can leave the map switch in "live" mode, or if you want to write the fuel map you can connect to the PC V software, retrieve the fuel trims and either write them to the map or clear them. We have also compared several Auto Tune derived maps to dyno tuned maps and the results were impressive. A very important requirement for building a good tune is to have a close base map to start out with, as the Auto Tune writes its fuel trims off the base PC V map. The Auto Tune module does require some basic wiring from the sensor harness into the modules. The Auto Tune module is a very good choice for those with a unique mods, where a dyno is not available, or for those looking for the ability to tune in real time. The ultimate combination we recommend is combining a full dyno tune session with the Auto tune. We build the map for the best combination of performance and efficiency, and then implement the AFR's we developed into the Auto Tune AFR table. High quality manufactured oil bypass valves (thermostats) from JAGG. An oil thermostat in combination with an efficient oil cooler has immense advantages that lead to an enormous increase in the service life of your engine. The oil flow to the oil cooler is automatically regulated according to temperature. At about 85°C the thermostat starts to regulate from 'Closed' to 'Pass'. From approx. 90°C the complete cross-section to the oil cooler is released. Installation in the two oil lines to and from the oil cooler. The automatic oil cooler bypass works like a remotely controlled thermostat and directs the oil past the cooler until it has reached operating temperature. The O2-Optimizer is mounted between the stock lambda sensor and the stock wiring by using the stock plugs With the O2 optimizer the closed-loop area in the lower revs is set to a fix value. Machine milled Oil Coller Yamaha XT660R - XT-660X Like many other single-cylinder engines, Yamaha's large water cooled 1-cylinder engines such as the XT-660 models tend to have very high oil temperatures. Especially in summer or off-road use, the critical level of around 100° C is quickly exceeded. Our solid block machined oil coolers help to prevent this. The uprated design, optimised during production (inner part rotated 45° to the outer edge), results in an ideal air flow to effectively dissipate any temperature peaks that may occur. This relieves all thermally stressed components such as the outlet valves, outlet valve seats and crankshaft bearings. The fittings from the oil cooler for the oil line are at the rear of the bike, so that even in off-road conditions, the fittings are protected from tree branches, stones, etc.. An alternative installation with a bottom outlet is possible. Connection to the engine is easily made in the secondary oil circuit. The concept is simple: the more you flow, the more you go. The better you can move air and fuel through the motor, the more power you will produce. To achieve this with an acceptable amount of money we now offer the boring of the throttle body. The whole throttle body will be machined to a +2mm bigger diameter. The axle is flow optimized and a new, special made throttle plate is mounted. This offers a maximum air flow. Horsepower gains up top without losing torque and power down low. An added bonus is that with the +2mm throttle body, the horsepower and torque is held longer in a usable range. What can you expect: up to 1 PS in lower, up to 3 PS in the upper range. This will make your 660 a real beast! We need your throttle body for about 6-14 days here in the workshop, depending on season. Please sent in the throttle body only - without any additional parts like the injector, throttle line bracket, TPS (throttle position sensor), gaskets, springs or any other parts.
